Lights for Serious Request

In de Kokstraat in Haarlem hangen 200 gekleurde lampjes. Je kan een lampje opdragen aan een persoon die een lichtje verdient of nodig heeft, door te doneren aan Serious Request voor de stichting ALS. Elke bijdrage (klein & groot) wordt enorm gewaardeerd!

Bij een donatie van € 15,- kan je een lampje 'adopteren'. Als er veel animo is, kan je lampje nog gedeeld worden met anderen. Voor minimaal € 30,- (meer mag dus ook...) is hij exclusief voor de persoon aan wie jij hem opdraagt.

Zet in de opmerking bij je donatie er bij aan wie jij je lichtje opdraagt. Op www.dare2share.nl vind je terug voor wie de lichtjes branden!

Lights for Serious Request

In the Kokstraat, a narrow street in the old town of Haarlem, you will see 200 Christmas lights, full of colours! These brightly colored lights can be dedicated to someone who needs a bit of ‘light’ in their life, someone that can use a hug or to someone that will never be forgotten.

Every year Dutch national radio station 3FM organises an event called ‘Serious request’, a nationwide fundraiser event that is typically held in the week before Christmas. The aim is simple: to collect as many donations as possible for an (international) charity of choice.

Serious Request is a bit of a Dutch tradition…and our bright lights are a bit of a (very) local tradition. This year the donations raised by Serious Request will go the Stichting ALS (als.nl)- a Dutch foundation that raises money to fund scientific research in search of a cure for this deadly nerve/muscle disease.

We decided to team-up with Serious Request because of a very personal reason. ALS is no stranger in the Kokstraat.

What can you do:

We appreciate every donation! Help us and Stichting ALS to raise as much money as we possibly can!

For a donation of minimal 15 euro’s you will adopt one of the 200 lights in the street. If we have lots of donations your light could be shared with someone else. If you donate at least 30 euro’s
(do feel free to donate more 😊) you will get a personalized light. Don’t forget to state the name of the person that you would like to dedicate the light to in the comment box.

If you decide to donate, please know that you donate directly to Serious Request, not to us. Serious Request collects all donations and brings them to Stichting ALS.

We do this for everyone that has been touched by ALS; partners, fathers, mothers, siblings, grandparents, friends, colleagues and neighbors.
