Het heeft meer dan zes jaar geduurd, maar eindelijk heeft Justin Timberlake een nieuwe single uitgebracht.
Justin Timberlake kondigde zijn muzikale comeback eerder al aan met een aantal cryptische posts op Twitter en een video genaamd 'I'm Ready'. In een open brief aan zijn fans op zijn website, geeft hij veel meer details. "Well... No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC."
'Suit & Tie' van Justin Timberlake
De langverwachte nieuwe single van Justin heet 'Suit & Tie' en is een samenwerking met Jay-Z. De single staat op zijn site en is te koop op iTunes. Check 'Suit & Tie' alvast onderaan het bericht. Het blijft niet bij een single, belooft Justin. 'Suit & Tie' is het eerste voorproefje van zijn nieuwe album The 20/20 Experience, dat ergens dit jaar verschijnt.
Justin verwacht kritiek
Justin hoopt de single goed ontvangen wordt, maar hij weet ook wel dat er altijd mensen zijn die hem gaan afkraken.
"I hope this gets to you the right way. It's the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I'd rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?"

De inspiratie voor het nieuwe muzikale werk kwam uit het niets, vertelt Justin. Hij ging de studio in zonder verwachtingen en kwam eruit met een album waar hij ontzettend enthousiast over is.
"I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process. What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way."
MySpace en Justin Timberlake
Het laatste album dat Justin uitbracht, FutureSex/LoveSounds, dateert alweer uit 2006. Na dat album stortte hij zich op zijn acteercarrière en op MySpace waar hij sinds juni 2011 mede-eigenaar van is. Begin 2012 onthulde Justin plannen waarmee hij het sociale netwerk nieuw leven in hoopt te blazen.
