De Grammy-nominaties 2022 zijn bekend

Beyoncé sleept dit jaar negen nominaties binnen en heeft er inmiddels net zoveel op haar naam staan als haar man Jay Z (88). Kendrick Lamar komt daar snel achteraan met acht nominaties dit jaar.

Zij gaat dan ook de strijd aan met Kendrick Lamar, Adele en Harry Styles in de belangrijkste categorieën zoals Album of the Year. Net als vijf jaar geleden in 2017 krijgen we dus een clash of the titans: Beyoncé staat met haar album 'Rennaissance' recht tegenover Adele met haar laatste album '30'.

Bad Bunny is trouwens het eerste compleet Spaanstalige album dat wordt genomineerd voor 'Album of the Year'.

Nederlandse nominatie

Zoals bijna elk jaar is er wel een Nederlandse nominatie. Vorig jaar werd de Turks-Nederlandse formatie Altin Gün genomineerd. Maar ook dit jaar is ons kleine kikkerlandje erbij door de nominatie van Het Metropole Orkest. Ze zijn genomineerd in de categorie 'Best Global Music Album' voor hun samenwerking met sitarspeelster Anoushka Shankar.

De Grammys worden uitgereikt op 5 februari in Los Angeles. Ook zullen er shows zijn van verschillende artiesten. Wie dat worden, is nog niet bekend.
