Weird Al Yankovic maakt parodie op Pharrells 'Happy'

Weird Al Yankovic brengt maandag 21 juli een nieuwe plaat uit: Mandatory Fun. In het kader van zijn #8videos8days-campagne zet hij elke dag een video online, in aanloop naar de release. Zo ook 'Tacky' (vertaling: smakeloos): een parodie op Pharrels gigantische hit 'Happy'. Weird Al Yankovic zet zich in de video af tegen de hedendaagse social media-gebruiken. Zo zingt hij "I would live-Tweet a funeral" en "Take selfies with the deceased".

Volgens de artiest is het zijn beste album tot nu toe en is hij trots als een pauw. In de video van 'Tacky' zie je sterren als Jack Black, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho en Eric Stonestreet. De video is geschoten in het Palace Theatre in Los Angeles.
