Kanye is effe helemaal klaar met zijn eigen naam. Voortaan gaat West door het leven als 'Ye'. Via Twitter roept de rapper al zijn volgers op om hem zo te noemen.

"I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means 'you,'" Vertelt West in een interview eerder dit jaar met radiohost Big Boy.
"So I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye - just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything. The album is more of a reflection of who we are."

'Ye' tweette dat zijn nieuwe album op 29 september, tijdens zijn optreden in Saturday Night Live, zou uitkomen. Alleen dat album is dus nooit gekomen! What's going on, Meneer West? Fans op Twitter zijn woedend:
