De speech van Kanye West tijdens de MTV VMA's (zondag 28 augustus) duurde dit jaar bijna zeven minuten. Dat is korter dan voorgaande jaren, maar het kan nóg korter. Met deze vijf tips kun je een goedbedoelde speech van Kanye West inkorten.

Stap 1: Sla de intro over
Kanye West neemt graag de tijd. Dit keer doet hij bijna een minuut over zijn opkomst. Na een halve minuut lijkt hij te gaan praten, maar sluit hij zijn mond weer. Vervolgens vertelt hij dat hij Kanye heet en gaat praten. Dus ehh, ja, die eerste minuut kun je best overslaan.
Stap 2: Skip het applaus
Er wordt veel geapplaudisseerd. Heel veel. Het beste zou zijn om het applaus steeds te skippen, maar dat kan een gefriemel zijn als je de speech op je telefoon kijkt. Kanye zegt af en toe dingen die je niet meteen begrijpt. Dat geeft niet. En wind je er vooral niet over op. Tegen Ellen DeGeneres zei hij ooit "Wat is het nut van denken?". So keep that in mind.
Stap 4: Let goed op Kim Kardashian
Soms lijkt het of zijn vrouw Kim de enige is die Kanye écht begrijpt. Terwijl het publiek joelt en klapt, pinkt zij een traantje weg. Ehhm, miscommunicatie?
Stap 5: Zijn speech is altijd terug te lezen
Je bent niet de enige die er op het moment surpreme geen *piep* van begrijpt. Gelukkig staat zijn speech vaak dezelfde dag al online. Gewoon een kwestie van Google-en.
