Dave Grohl wilde Weezer een nummer laten opnemen met Barry Manilow voor de soundtrack van zijn Sound City documentaire.
Het was Dave Grohl bijna gelukt om Weezer en Barry Manilow samen de studio in te krijgen voor zijn Sound City album Real To Reel. Dave Grohl onthulde dat aan The Sun. "I was this fucking close to getting them on a record. I thought it was going to happen, it would’ve been fucking huge. He (Manilow) was the first person who said he’d do it but was the last we tracked down. And we had to fly to fucking Hawaii."
Grote namen op Sound City soundtrack
De documentaire van Grohl gaat over de legendarische Sound City Studio in Los Angeles. Op de binnenkort te verschijnen soundtrack van Sound City staat dus geen samenwerking tussen Barry Manilow en Weezer, maar het is Grohl wel gelukt om veel andere grootheden te strikken.
