Queens Of The Stone Age heeft het beste rockalbum van de afgelopen vijf jaar gemaakt, volgens Elton John.

Elton John vertelde Daily Star dat hij het net verschenen album ...Like Clockwork van Queens Of The Stone Age geweldig vindt. “I think its probably the best rock album by any band in about five or six years.”

Elton werd niet zo maar gevraagd naar zijn mening over het nieuwste werk van de Amerikaanse rockers. De Britse zanger en pianist is namelijk een van de vele gastmuzikanten op ...Like Clockwork.

Het werken met Josh Homme en co. is Elton heel goed bevallen. “I’ve never really played on a record with a rock band like that and for me it was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done."

QOTSA-frontman Josh Homme was op zijn beurt onder de indruk van de relaxte houding van Elton, schrijft Daily Star.

“We played for three-and-a-half hours. That’s how long it took to get it. Then he stayed for another three-and-a-half hours and he just talked and hung out and bullsh**ted and stuff like that.”
