DJ Khaled, Rihanna en Bryson Tiller blazen het zwoele zomernummer 'Maria Maria' van Santana uit 1999 nieuw leven in op 'Wild Thoughts'. Het nummer staat op DJ Khaleds nieuwe en tiende studioalbum Grateful.

Het origineel van 'Maria Maria' dateert alweer uit 1999. De latinband Santana bracht het nummer toen samen uit met The Product G&B. Wyclef Jean produceerde de plaat. Het nummer ontving in 2000 een Grammy Award en ja, zeg nou eerlijk, wie herkent die beat en het bekende gitaarrifje níet meteen?
Tegen Billboard zei Carlos Santana over 'Wild Thoughts':
"It speaks to the heart. DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller take that vibe and bring it to a new dimension with 'Wild Thoughts', but the groove and essence of the song is still intact. I am honored that they felt the intense of 'Maria Maria' and have shared this summer vibe with the world."
