Who to vote for?

Dutch Jacco Garder

Starting in ESNS’home country, The Netherlands. Singer Jacco Gardner was born and raised here, but it is in the US where his initial success started. He was discovered by the highly acknowledged Chicago based label Trouble in Mind, who signed him to their roster and released his debutalbum Cabinet of Curiosities.

Reviews for the album were glorious. Jacco’s Music is reminiscent of 60 pops from acts like the Beach Boys, but beware…don’t call it psychedelica!

Envy from Norway

From Iceland to Scandinavia. Norways hottest hiphop act of the moment is called Envy.

Lucas Graham from Denmark

There is certainly more great music to emerge from the norther most point of Europa. Let’s hear it for Lucas Graham, who describes the music from his band as “ghetto pop”.

Icona Pop from Sweden

Also from Scandinavia, from Sweden to be precise, come the two hipster girls from Icona Pop. These days Aino and Caroline travel around the world with their electropop outfit Icona Pop. Not seeing so much of Sweden anymore, but having the times of their lives. Needless to say, they are still Best Female Friends!

Irish band Kodaline

Irish foursome Kodaline started out as 21 Demands and were charted in 2007 with their debut single. But real success came when they changed their name to Kodaline a few years later. They are being compared to hugely succesfull bands as Elbow, Coldplay and Keane. Spring 2013 saw the release of their debut album In a Perfect World, which reached the top of the British charts. And this is only the beginning. They are playing gigs and festivals all over the world but are still getting adjusted to the succes and the growing audiences….

Gugabriel from Austria

The story of French act Woodkid is something else. He started out in the Music business as a video director – he made videos for Lana del Rey and Katy Perry, to name but a few…

From his safe spot behind the camera he has now entered the spotlights with his own Music. As you would expect from a video director his work is quite visual. His shows, when the music meets the visuals, are spectacular. And so are the videos accompanying his singles….

Disclosure from England

The last nominee is…Disclosure, the cross over sensation of the year. Disclosure are two brothers, hardly 20 years old, raised in a sleepy English town, who grow up on a musical diet of credible pop and classic rock…

Mom and dad introducé them to a broad range of Music, but in their teens Guy and Howie discover electronic Music. When they blend all these musical influenced into own songs, which they put out on the internet, their fame quickly rises…

Fast forward one year and Disclosure is one of the hottest names in Music.
